BMW Plans to Launch X3 M in India

The new SUV has a top speed of 250 km per hour and can be increased to 280 km per hour with M Driver's package.

BMW, a German automotive manufacturer plans to launch the high-performance SUV, X3 M in the Indian market by the end of 2020. The expected price of the X3 M is around US$ 146853.85 (ex-showroom). The SUV has been spotted testing earlier in Mumbai. Initially, the X3 M was scheduled to be launched in early 2020, however, has been delayed due to the novel coronavirus crisis. The global pandemic has drastically affected the global automotive industry. The X3 M will be powered by the all-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine that churns out 473 bhp of power and 600 Nm of peak torque.

The company is expected to offer only the standard X3 M in India, not the Competition variant of the SUV. The X3 M Competition is also equipped with the same 3.0-liter engine that is good for 503 bhp of power. Moreover, the X3 M comes with the M-spec All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system and is paired with an 8-speed transmission system. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km (0 to 62 miles) in just 4.2 seconds, whereas the X3 M Competition does it in 4.1 seconds.

The X3 M features LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, gesture control, and more. Moreover, customers can choose the color of the interior of the car with contrasting stitching. The SUV’s exterior features larger bumpers with black accents, as well as black inserts on the side vents and front bumper. The X3 M also gets the signature quad exhaust setup that comes with the BMW M series. However, the X3 M has no direct competitor in India in terms of both price and performance.
