The company plans to launch the BS-VI compliant range of its Scrambler 800 (the top seller for Ducati in India) by the end of 2020.
Ducati India is planning to launch three new BS-VI compliant motorcycles in India by the end of 2020. The company plans to launch its first BS-VI motorcycle named the Panigale V2 in India by the end of August 2020. The second BS-VI offering will be from the company’s Multistrada (a series of V-twin street trailie motorcycles) family, which is expected to be launched in October 2020. The second offering is expected to be from the Multistrada 950 family. Ducati is also planning to launch the all-new, BS-VI compliant Multistrada V4, which is expected to go on sale by 2021.
Moreover, the company is expected to have a new version of the Multistrada 1260 in the coming future. However, it is not confirmed by the company yet. The 950 is expected to arrive in the automotive market in October 2020, however, Ducati India has not confirmed whether the company will bring the Multistrada 950 S or the standard Multistrada 950 in the Indian market. The price of the standard model expected to start from US$ 17381.45 (Rs 13 lakh).
Following the Multistrada, the company aims to launch the BS-VI compliant range of its Scrambler 800 by the end of 2020 (November or December). The Scrambler 800 is the top seller for Ducati in India. In April 2019, Ducati India launched an updated range of Scrambler 800 in India in four variants, such as the Scrambler Icon, the Full Throttle, the Cafe Racer, and the Desert Sled, with more features such as cornering ABS. Moreover, the company is planning to introduce the BS-VI Scrambler 1100 in India by the end of 2020. The Scrambler 1100 is already available in Euro 5 trim in the global market.
