Microsoft Office apps for Android are rumored to be having a dark mode option and according to a source, this new feature has been added to Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel apps.
The function had previously been created by Microsoft for its Outlook, One Drive, Edge, and Remote Desktop applications. Microsoft has been focusing on improving cross-platform compliance on mobile devices, which may support the Office Suite for Android the most. Microsoft, on the other hand, has yet to issue an official statement. As per a report, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for Android can get a dark mode feature with the option to set a dark, light, or system default setting. The entire app has a dark mode option, as seen in leaked screenshots posted on Twitter. The screenshots were taken from Word and the Office Hub app, but dark mode theme is also expected for PowerPoint and Excel. There has been no official confirmation when the update will be launched in the market. In August 2019, Microsoft added dark mode to the Outlook mobile app for Android and IOS.
To turn on the dark mode users should Go to Settings > Personalization > Colors to allow Dark Mode. Under the "Choose your app mode" portion, users have to scroll down and select "Dark mode “option. Office apps will not be affected by Windows 10's systems new dark mode feature but users can select a dark theme for Office apps like PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. This feature is compatible with Office 2013, Office 2016, and Office 365. Android users will be able to turn to dark mode automatically while in battery saver mode also. Office's dark mode is only available if users have a Microsoft 365 subscription, according to Microsoft. This works with any Windows edition, including Windows 7, 8, and 10.
