TVS Introduces Doorstep Service Program

The company reported dispatches of around 243,788 units in July 2020, a 17% increase over July 2019’s sales of 208,489 units.

TVS Motors, an Indian motorcycle manufacturer has introduced a new doorstep service program, named Expert on Wheels, in India. According to the company, the new service will be available at more than 300 TVS dealers across the country. The company aims to provide periodic maintenance service to their customers at their doorsteps. Customers can now schedule a service by calling their nearest TVS dealer. With this new program, TVS plans to increase accessibility or to offer flawless service to its customers. The company has rolled out a new service program for customers who wish to service their vehicles.

In India, many automotive manufacturers have unveiled new finance schemes or digital platforms to offer flawless service to their customers amid the novel coronavirus crisis. TVS has also instructed all dealers to follow safety protocols to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. The company has also instructed its staff to wear personal protective equipment (PPE suit). Moreover, dealers will use thermal scanning and enable digital payments to avoid contact. However, the company has kept Road Side Assistance (RSA) and customer service helplines accessible to all customers during this lockdown.

The company has also extended AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) services, warranty, and free service amid the global pandemic. However, TVS is not the only company to introduce a doorstep service program. In early August 2020, Royal Enfield introduced its doorstep service program, named Service on Wheels, which offers a similar service to their customers. In terms of sales, July 2020 was a positive month for TVS. The company reported dispatches of around 243,788 units in July 2020, a 17% increase compared to July 2019. TVS reported dispatches of around 208,489 units in July 2019. Moreover, TVS reported around 68% month-on-month increase over June 2020’s sales.
