TVS Launches Apache RTR 200 4V in India

The RTR 200 4V has not changed much and will be available in the same color options such as Gloss Black and Pearl White, as its sibling.

TVS, an Indian multinational motorcycle company has launched the Apache RTR 200 4V in India at US$ 123000 (Rs 1.23 lakh). The new Apache RTR 200 4V costs US$ 68.29 (Rs 5,050) less than the Apache RTR 200 and comes with a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The Apache RTR 200 with dual-channel ABS will also be available in the Indian market. So far, the RTR 200 4V was available with a dual-channel ABS, however, now, TVS has introduced a single-channel ABS variant of the RTR 200 4V.

According to the company, it is the Super-Moto ABS and will only work on the front wheel. However, the RTR 200 4V has not changed much and will be available in the same color options such as Gloss Black and Pearl White, as its sibling. The new RTR 200 4V is equipped with a single-cylinder, 197.75cc, oil-cooled BS-VI engine that is good for 20.5 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 16.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The new BS-VI variant received a small makeover that includes a new LED headlamp.

Moreover, the RTR 200 4V comes with the company’s Glide through Technology, which lets the bike move at a steady speed through traffic. The chief rival of the Apache RTR 200 is the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200, with a single-channel ABS, priced at US$ 1754.12. In terms of specifications, the RTR 200 will go against the BS-VI Yamaha FZ25. However, the price of the BS-VI Yamaha FZ25 is much higher at US$ 2055.37. Moreover, in August 2020, TVS introduced a new doorstep service program, named Expert on Wheels that will be available at more than 300 TVS dealers across the country (India).
